COLIN McKEOWN
Executive Producer, Director & Writer

Colin is a man fortunate to have pursued two very enriching careers: a veteran of 20 years service in the Canadian Navy and now as a television producer with two popular series. As President of JenCor Entertainment, Colin serves as Executive Producer, Writer, and Director for Truth Duty Valour, The New Fly Fisher, and numerous government and corporate projects.

In 2001, Colin began his first television series, The New Fly Fisher for OLN Canada, now airing on seven networks in Canada and the United States to over 70 million households each week. A passionate fly fisherman, Colin has made the show a success by creating a series that is educational and entertaining, shooting with the best anglers from all across North America.

In 2003, when Colin retired from the Canadian Forces and with the fishing show entering its fourth successful season, he forged Canadian television history by creating the first Canadian military documentary series, Truth, Duty, Valour for OLN Canada. Truth Duty Valour is an action oriented series that chronicles the training and hardships experienced by Canadian soldiers, sailors and airmen preparing for overseas deployment. This was the first time an ongoing documentary series was dedicated to telling the story of life in the Canadian Forces. The series is now seen on OLN, Canadian Learning Television, Court TV, and Historia in Quebec and is in distribution in various countries around the world.

JESSICA WEBB
Production Manager

Jessica began her journey in the field of political science. Being an enthusiast of history and drama (both of which can be easily found on the hill) this seemed like the logical post secondary choice. Jessica enjoyed her studies and loved university life until on whim, she decided to do something that would drastically change the course of her life- Canadian Idol. Hoping that her extensive experience in the car and shower would serve her well, she trekked out to Lansdowne Park in the middle of a wintery night to camp out. Jessica was both shocked and thrilled when she made it to Toronto for the Top 100. It was here that she realized how wrong she had been in pursuing a path in political science; completely distracted by the bustle of the production going on around her, Jessica understood that television was her true passion. Once the judges realized that the acoustics on stage were not as good as the ones in the shower, she was quickly cut from the competition- Jessica's dreams however, were just beginning. Upon her return to Ottawa she promptly quit school and began working at Rogers Television. Jessica graduated from the television broadcasting program at Algonquin College 2 years later with huge dreams...luckily she has found a lovely place to learn and grow in the industry with JenCor Entertainment.

JANET P. SMITH

Janet P. Smith may have passed up law school for a less lucrative livelihood making television, but she has no regrets! Armed with a Masters degree in History and English from U. of T., she cut her teeth in the TV business in Toronto as a researcher with CBC; jumped ship, but not broadcasters, to work in Halifax and then in Ottawa. After 17 years visiting the far corners of Canada producing for CBC's "On the Road Again", Janet's been freelancing, savoring the variety and the pace. From directing a home design series for HGTV to encouraging romance among strangers in the Mayan Riviera for OLN, she's chased after seniors on a Hawaiian cruise, dodged seals and wild horses on Sable Island, tracked kayakers on the Arctic Ocean, whales on the Pacific, fishing boats on the Atlantic, and introduced Canadians to fiddler Natalie MacMaster. And now, thanks to JenCor Entertainment, Janet's experienced perhaps the highlight of her career - documenting the seizure of 4.5 tonnes of terrorist-financing hashish by the Canadian Navy in the Persian Gulf. Thanks Colin!
